Absolut Apeach bought in Malaysia - Genuine or fake product? Can we verify?

The LOT-code on my Absolut Apeach is:

L27PY 05:54

Why is it different from the ones Martin V had posted?

That exact LOT-code "L27PY 05:54" was also found printed in black inkjet on the shrink-wrap but it is only at the neck of the bottle and not over the cap.

It is very unfortunate that I have already opened the bottle and discarded the shrink-wrap. I have drank some of it. After checking all the other posts I could find on the LOT-codes, these doubts I get are not comforting at all.

Can we verify if my Absolut Apeach is genuine or fake?

And if the labels behind the bottle are the right labels? They are made of paper sticker.

  • Any response on the matter? It's the festive season and I'm not able to enjoy my Absolut Apeach due to this. This town is out of genuine absolut vodkas, plundered by fake 1 Litre bottles all around. I bought this 750ml bottle at an expensive price from a premium supermarket that orders in bulks and it's only place left that sells liquors that are most likely genuine compared to any other stores in town.

What are the chances my Absolut Apeach is a fake?

    • Inconsistencies with the format of the LOT codes.
    • Black inkjet LOT codes on shrink wrap are more than just 5 digits (neck of bottle).
    • There is no LOT code printed on the sides of the cap.

Can someone clarify the inconsistencies? Well if every bottle is produced and bottled in Sweden, why are the LOT codes inconsistent with what was stated?

Would that mean the contents of the vodka could possibly have inconsistencies as well?

  • I bought it at a supermarket called "Ta Kiong" at The Spring in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The supermarket is operated under the company "Lotus Quantum Sdn. Bhd." Their contact number is (including country code): +6082255192

I have the original receipt with me as well which also contains their address.
