Complaint, strange taste

I regularly drink Absolut Vanilla, I buy a bottle approximately every two months, and have done for several years. I purchased a bottle yesterday (Sheffield, UK) and it has a very unpleasant taste, chemical like perhaps a cleaning fluid. This is a shame because I really enjoy your products, and this unusual.

  • Hi John i too have had an unusual experience with absolute and have sent a message pending response. strange you're not getting a replacement bottle or refund ? id just prefer the product i paid for eg another bottle preferable without the defects. Australia

  • I just opened a bottle of Absolut Mandarin which I've been drinking for years. The taste was awful. The smell was obscene. I poured about 2oz in a glass. How do I get my money back.

  • The only reply you will get mate is to take it back to the place you bought it with proof of purchase. This is no good if its been a gift or bought duty free from another country and all the other problems that arise from taking back to seller.

    I had a problem with jim beam cans labeled wrong and all were dry instead of cola. Jim beam asked for a sample we sent a can back and recived a six pack in the mail with two t shirts a cooler bag and key rings and can holders. I was impressed and pleased. Not so the response i got from Absolut. Just start drinking a better quality Vodka.

  • Absolutely terrible customer services. Report the matter to Trading Standards or the quality governing body for food/drink. You have tried your best here and it appears Absolut absolutely have not!

  • I too have had the most vomitous tasting Cherry vodka. It tastes worse than that dreadful cherry cough mixture. Not exactly the quality experience one expects when paying premier prices for a supposedly premier product. I can't drink it as it makes me want to honk.
    Where is the complaints form on this website?
    Why arnt customers complaints addressed and processed in a comprehensive, open way by due process?
    I cant find a complaint form or email for your complaints desk on this website. Why not?

    I have moved on, i pay more for a better quality vodka as its not about quantity but quality

    The only contact i had was to take up my concerns with the store it was purchased from.

    As this was a gift this just became all too hard. I don't believe my concerns were taken seriously.

  • I bought it from Sainsbury's in London, one of the biggest supermarkets in the UK.
    I will now spend more on another brand as find your response to customers unsatisfactory.
